Kansas City BBQ Crafted By Racism?!?

Or . . .

MIDDLE-CLASS PROGRESSIVE WHITE PEOPLE WANT EVEN MORE CREDIT FOR 'SLUMMING' IN THE NAME OF SOCIAL JUSTICE!!!

Credit where it's due . . . This progressive tweeter is better than most and usually rallies his cadre of 30/40 something brahs to the cause of sketchy KC policy . . . However, in this post he recycles a talking point that locals typically use to try and ruin your lunch . . .

"Joe’s, Q39, etc reputations were built *in part* because white people are uncomfortable in Black spaces. Not saying they’re bad but . . . They’re more comfortable for a certain demographic."

The upshot here is that TKC doesn't think middle-class white people deserve any credit for enjoying something as delicious as Gates BBQ.

In fact . . . Any decent Kansas City BBQ place is a treat and this bit of food snobbery is just another gauge of toxic partisan politics attempting to sour any sense of enjoyment in the name of furthering their own soulless agenda.

Still . . . Consideration of Kansas City BBQ racism serves as a worthwhile reminder that so much of what we call "politics" is really more of a popularity contest than a logically consistent worldview intended to better the lives of Americans.
