Kansas City 18th & Vine 'Pedestrian Mall' Proves Total Disinterest In East Side Profits

We always want the best for every part of Kansas City and our hope is that small biz and residents can devise workable, profitable and productive innovations for neighborhoods.

But riddle me this . . .

HOW IS 18TH & VINE GOING TO ATTRACT MORE BIZ & VISITORS WITH LESS PARKING?!?

I guess we can imagine that visitors will walk down to this sometimes violent neighborhood or take the bus even if MOST PEOPLE DRIVE there today.

OR . . .

This might be yet another sign that KC is all out of ideas after spending more than 100 MILLION BUCKS on this district that continues to lose money.

Now . . . Local leaders seem so desperate that they're just allowing amateur urban planners to practice their college-sophomore level antics with a historic part of town after decades of subsidy haven't sparked any sustainable biz model.
