Jackson County Prosecutor Remembers Crime Victims With Gardening Vigil

First and foremost . . .

We respect everyone's right to grieve.

However . . . The prosecutor is, in fact, an elected official and subject to criticism. 

The reality that we've noticed . . . 

Rampant urban core crime has inspired even the most patient local denizens to abandon hope that vigils and upbeat messages of hope will prove effective. With homicides on a record pace this year, the call for more effective solutions has grown louder.

Nevertheless . . . Here's a peek at today's festivities . . .

"Victims, service agencies invested in helping victims and others will gather Friday about 11:15 am at Greater Metropolitan Church of Christ, 3735 Wabash Avenue. 

Besides the speakers, our office is helping plant new gardens and a new dogwood tree as a testament to life. Please join us."
