Deadly Triple Shooting On Prospect Ave. Starts Kansas City Weekend

Tragically, the echo of shooting on the East side kicks-off this Spring weekend. 

Here's the first report . . . 

Homicide 35th & Prospect

This evening just before 9:30pm. Officers were dispatched to 35th and Prospect on a reported sound of gun shots. Once on scene officers confirmed a shooting had occurred.

Officers found an adult male in the parking lot at the gas station suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers began life saving measures at which time
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

Officers identified two adult females suffering from apparent gun shot wounds on scene. One female was treated and released on scene and the other transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.

An additional adult female shooting victim with non life threatening injuries arrived at an area hospital.

A child under the age of 5 also was shot and arrived at an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Contributing factors to the shooting are unknown at this time.

Detectives and Crime Scene personnel are on scene and canvassing the area for potential witnesses and evidence.

Police: 1 dead, 2 hurt in triple-shooting in Kansas City

One person is dead following a triple-shooting in Kansas City. The shooting happened at 8:21 p.m. on Friday evening at 35th Street and Prospect Avenue. The conditions of the two other victims are unknown at this point. A wide crime scene has been established at a gas station where it happened.

The shooting was reported just before 8:30 p.m. at a gas station near E. 35th Street and Prospect Avenue. It is unknown at this time what led to the shooting.

Kansas City police investigate deadly shooting at BP gas station

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a deadly shooting at a BP gas station on Friday night. The shooting unfolded at around 8:25 p.m. at the convenience store located near Prospect Avenue and east 35th Street. Police initially said one victim suffered life-threatening injuries, and a second suffered injuries that were considered non-life-threatening.
