Celebrate Kansas City Fountain Day 2023

So . . . TKC never married the fountain lady. Not for lack of trying.

After she was booked we ran down to the jail with flowers, a box of drug store chocolates and the pin number to one of those pay-as-you-go bank accounts that homeless (& bloggers) use.

We were an hour late . . . Per ushe. Still . . . That's more effort than we put into the marital demands of a few other ladies we've known over the years who insisted that this future cowtown blogging institution (heh) waste time working at an insurance company or the bottom rungs of some other public/private purveyor of . . . Whatever.

But I digress. . .

Still, the legacy of Kansas City fountain lady and my wasted career is far more interesting than this local celebration . . .

Check-it . . .

"Every year in early April the city celebrates Greater Kansas City Fountain Day, when all 48 publicly-operated fountains spring back to life. This day represents a great source of pride for the comfort, energy and urban vitality they provide."

Hint . . . Quite a few fountains won't be turned on and don't work.

Still . . .

We take a peek at all of this info via www.TonysKansasCity.com links . . .
