Survey Seyz Kansas City Voters Oppose Slavery Reparations

During every election season there is a great deal of polling that circulates amongst the ruling class and well-connected challengers.

This morning we want to focus on an inconvenient fact that's gaining traction as word of public opinion data echoes all the way down to our little corner of the Internets.

The basics . . .

KANSAS CITY VOTERS VIEW SLAVERY REPARATIONS WITH ALMOST UNIVERSAL DISDAIN ACCORDING TO RECENT POLLING!!!

Here's what's surprising . . .

With the exception of one council district . . . Negative feelings about reparations were nearly universal.

There's more data out there but the basics are easy to understand:

From the Northland to the South side . . . KCMO voters OVERWHELMINGLY dislike the idea of reparations for slavery.

Now what does this mean for the upcoming vote???

NOTICE MAYOR & COUNCIL EXTREMELY QUIET ABOUT THEIR SUPPORT FOR SLAVERY REPARATIONS?!?

A study has been approved but the topic has nearly disappeared from the news cycle.

This is unfortunate given that council opinions on this issue deserve scrutiny.

Kansas City creates a committee to study reparations for Black residents

Kansas City is taking a big step towards reparations for the Black community. On Jan. 12, City Council voted 10-1 to approved Ordinance No. 220966, which expresses "apologies on behalf of the City of Kansas City" and establishes an intent to "make amends for its participation in the sanctioning of the enslavement of Black people and any historical enforcement of segregation and accompanying discriminatory practices against Black citizens of Kansas City."
