Organizing labor is tricky and the fight over coffee solidarity has earned progress but not a clear victory.

Seriously . . . The vibe in the shop is worse than a depression era bread line. There are a few nice people but most of the "labor leaders" have obviously turned the environment into a living hell for anybody who has to stay there for longer than 5 minutes. 

Meanwhile, we trust our public radio friends to promote the battle from afar . . .

A judge ruled Starbucks violated labor law. But organizing local workers remains a 'tall order'

An administrative judge in New York ruled last week that Starbucks violated federal labor law in response to a union campaign in the Buffalo area. The more than 200-page ruling ordered the company to reinstate unlawfully fired workers, pay them back pay and damages, and reopen a location it closed while union support was growing.
