Show-Me Republican Rift Over Gay Marriage

Like it or not . . . The law of the land upholds gay marriage and our Republican friends are out-of-sync with the U.S. Constitution as interpreted by the Supreme Court.

Here's a Republican lawmaker pointing out this inconvenient fact . . .

"The party platform says marriage is a man and a woman, but I swear to hold the U.S. Constitution, Missouri Constitution," Missouri Rep. Chris Sander said.

He identifies as an openly gay conservative, who wants state laws to line up with federal ones.

"So it would open up the language to have same-sex marriage constitutionally legal in Missouri.
