School District FAILS Kansas City South Side

"Unfortunately, the scores for our school district did not simply decline, they plummeted. This once proud district now finds itself in the bottom 25% in the state. While that in itself sounds bad, think about what it actually means. It’s more than lack of housing or lack of any serious development beyond tire stores and liquor stores. It means this district is failing in the very purpose of its existence. Our forefathers were enlightened enough to see the need to educate the children living in this community. It’s now sad that over the last few election cycles those living outside Hickman Mills have been able to influence voters to elect people with seemingly no idea what it means to be a school board member."
