Kansas City's most iconic entertainment district continues to suffer a downward slide that started the moment the mayor joined and endorsed violent protesters during the BLM riot/uprising.

Milan Optique has closed after 14 years on the Country Club Plaza.

“Rent was too high, then COVID hit and they still wanted rent for those two months and marketing expenses. It hit me good for like $14,000,” said Felix Milman, owner. “Then after COVID there were a lot of people coming in stealing stuff and it made my employees nervous.”
