The toy train was supposed to transform the downtown economy . . . Instead . . . Most of the biz on the line is still propped up by tax breaks or . . . Kinda just seems like a sketchy idea.

8,200-square-foot Berkley Beer Garden coming to Berkley Riverfront Park

A 8,200-square-foot beer garden will be joining the Berkley Riverfront Park, Port KC announced on Monday. The Berkley Beer Garden will hold its groundbreaking late this summer and will be opened in 2024, joining the Kansas City Current's new stadium, the Origin Hotel and the arrival of the Kansas City Streetcar.
