Kansas City Lawsuit: Student Demands Teacher Use Preferred Pronouns

Think outside the bubble here . . .

It's common courtesy to address someone in the manner they request or, simply & politely, decline to engage with them. 

The big question here . . . 

IS THE USE OF PREFERRED PRONOUNS LEGALLY REQUIRED OF TEACHERS?!?

TKC is NOT a lawyer but I'm honestly curious about the precedent here and how it might resonate across the state.

Here's the word . . .

"A nonbinary student teacher was told by an employee of the Fort Osage District that using gender-neutral pronouns was “too personal” and “too political.” Now, Olivia Jackson alleges that the school district discriminated by refusing to hire them because of their gender identity."
