A council contender seems frustrated because she's not gaining any traction and during a recent debate she accused her fellow candidates of criminality. 

What she would learn later . . .

The media outlet in question didn't broadcast her tirade and instead shortened the debate rather than risk broadcasting something that their listeners wouldn't like or risk legal conflict for a low-rent debate.

GOING NEGATIVE IN THE LAST SECOND OF THE CAMPAIGN IS STUPID!!! NOBODY LIKES IT AND IT LOOKS DESPERATE!!!

The main problem with this 2023 election is that NOBODY CARES.

It's well documented that negative campaigning chases people away from elections and damages the attacker just as much as their target.

THIS IS KANSAS CITY, NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR YOUR COMPLAINTS. 

Our cowtown has a long tradition of tuning people out and ignoring unpleasantness. We're doing it right now with all of the murders on the East side. 

Again, take or leave our free advice . . . But what we know for certain is that LONGTIME LOCALS WILL REMEMBER NASTY ATTACKS. Any candidate who gives into frustration will find themselves making enemies that last for YEARS if not decades and long after people have forgotten any campaign talking points.
