School Board politics was once a big deal in KCMO until everyone figured out that moving was easier than fighting for a district on its way to inevitable dissolution.
Now . . .
The money for these contests is small potatoes and the only real fight is over power player attempts to build a coalition . . . The individual council members are just small players in a bigger game.
Sure . . . Some of these folks have the potential to land themselves in jail if they get too greedy.
But overall . . . The council isn't as powerful as it was 10 years ago and our ruling class have decided to take their bribes donations elsewhere . . .
Nevertheless . . .
