Thief steals $28K worth of bikes, equipment from BikeWalkKC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Thieves have stolen thousands of dollars worth of equipment from a Kansas City organization. BikeWalkKC shared a picture of a black 7-by-12-foot trailer that it said was stolen between 5 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. The group told police its fleet of 15 kids bicycles inside the trailer were also stolen.


How Kia owners can protect themselves from theft

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Reports of stolen Kias are popping up all over the Kansas City metro, something the Missouri State Highway Patrol says members of the community need to be aware of. "That's the whole goal of this: to try and warn the consumer you need to take some steps," Corporal Nate Bradley with MSHP said.


Second 15-year-old boy charged in Smithville teen's May 2022 murder

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A 15-year-old boy was sentenced Monday in the shooting death of a Smithville teenager in May 2022 at Black Bob Park in Olathe. He is one of seven teens charged in connection with Marco Cardino's murder. KSHB 41 News isn't naming the defendant, because he is a minor.


Missouri bill aims to cut down on expired temporary tags

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A new bill that passed the house resoundingly would change where and when sales taxes are paid on vehicle purchases. The premise is that it would cut down on the number of people who drive around on long-expired temporary tags, avoiding the tax, and help people afford to title their cars It's rare to find someone who says they like going to a motor vehicle licensing office.


Man dies after being hit by truck at QuikTrip in Independence

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - An 84-year-old man died after being hit by a truck that was backing out of a parking spot at a QuikTrip on Monday, the Independence Police Department said. According to police, the incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. at the QuikTrip located at 4005 S.


Motorcyclists being treated for serious injuries after getting trapped under car in KC

A motorcyclist is in the hospital after getting pinned under a vehicle in Kansas City. Police say one man has serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision mid-day Tuesday. The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department says a white Volkswagen Tiguan was traveling north on Davidson, turning onto 46th Street, when the driver of a black Honda motorcycle drove in front of the car.


Police asking for help in locating missing woman, 59

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are asking for the public's help in locating a woman who was last seen Monday night. Carla Tackkett, 59, was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Truman Road and Campbell Street.


Police: Young child dead following crash outside Harrisonville, 5 others injured

The Missouri Highway Patrol, Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Harrisonville Police Department are responding to a single vehicle crash that has killed a young child. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a 3-year-old girl is dead. She died at the scene and was not buckled in, according to a spokesperson for the highway patrol.

Family, community continues search for missing 13-year-old Jayden Robker

A Northland family is continuing to search for their missing 13-year-old.Jayden Robker left home on Feb. 2 to sell Pokémon cards. No one has seen him since.On Sunday, his family and dozens of community members canvassed the area he was last seen, near the QuikTrip on Northwest Englewood Road, looking for information about him.
