KANSAS CITY APPROVES SLOPPY $30-MILLION ANTI-CRIME GIVEAWAY!!!

Once again Kansas City suffers historic violent crime stats threatening neighborhoods across the metro.

Locals are desperate for answers . . . Here's what will have to suffice . . .

INSTEAD OF DOING ANYTHING WITH ANY HOPE OF SUCCESS . . . KANSAS CITY PASSED 30 MILLION BUCKS WORTH OF FUNDING TO BE DISTRIBUTED IN AN EPIC ELECTION SEASON GIVEAWAY!!!

Here's a glimpse at the official language . . .

"The resolution directs the City Manager to present a funding plan for the Blueprint for Violence Prevention, using $30 million from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund, before the start of the public budget meetings."

However . . . Here's how it's really going to go down and this is an off-the-record comment from an insider about the disaster in the making . . .

"We have absolutely no idea where it's going or how much.  This was the MOST irresponsible ordinance I have seen."

The only no votes came from Council ladies Shields, Loar & Hall. That means EVERY COUNCIL INCUMBENT thinks that throwing money at the crime crisis with no accounting is going to fix it.

Let's be clear about what's happening here . . .

This is sloppy legislation with no checks and balances and no unique system to gauge effectiveness, methodology or even accounting as basic as an audit.

Don't worry it gets worse . . .

This money comes right of the top of the General Fund so local anti-crime social clubs groups will enjoy their slice of the pie ahead of anyone else.

Allow us a personal aside tonight . . .

Here's what's really upsetting . . .

Imagine that you live somewhere that suffers constant crime, gunfire & homicides . . . Whilst your busy working and trying to survive . . . Leadership from this part of the community is OBVIOUSLY LOOKING TO GET PAID FIRST before they do anything to improve the lives of their constituents.

We already know this plan isn't going to work because KCMO has spent MILLIONS on Aim4Peace, COMBAT and so many other groups that have NEVER shown any effectiveness at reducing crime.

This is a grift and what's most upsetting is that it has proven effective by capitalizing on murder, suffering and the destabilization of our local institutions.

Why Chicago matters for the Democratic debate on crime

Chicago's mayoral runoff is about to provide an early test of how Democrats are redefining their public safety platform ahead of 2024. Why it matters: Deep-blue cities are leading a real-time transformation of the Democratic Party in a post-pandemic world where voters demand more forceful answers on public safety solutions.
