Kansas City 2023 Homicide #30: Woman Shot Dead Late Night

Despite talk of gun control and upcoming elections . . . The local cycle of violence continues to worsen.

Homicide 4300 block of E 7th St

This evening just after 9:15pm, officers were called to the 4300 block of E 7th St on a reported disturbance.  Upon arrival, officers located the victim, an adult female, suffering from apparent trauma.  EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.  The victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene to recover any evidence and speaking to any potential witnesses.

Police investigate homicide after finding woman in front yard of home in east Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police are investigating a homicide that happened late Tuesday night in east Kansas City, Missouri. Officers responded to a disturbance in the 4300 block of east 7th Street at around 9:15 p.m. When they arrived, they located a woman suffering from trauma injuries in the front yard of a home.
