This week debate over "conversation therapy" was reportedly emotional but trusted insiders explained to us that the reporting didn't really capture the tone of the debate.
As always, they were right.

It's a tragic story that deserves attention.
A few moments that stand out . . .
Legislator Anderson was nearly moved to tears as he described his childhood and how he was subjected to the faith-based pseudoscience because of his love of music and his singing voice.
The elected official included Bible passages quoted from memory along with scathing rebuke for clerics who subject youngsters to conversion therapy.
**TRIGGER WARNING**
On record, Legislator Jalen Anderson claimed that, faith leaders forced him and other youngsters to watch illicit adult material in church in order to cast away any suspected homosexual inclinations.
No matter where voters might stand on this issue . . . There's no question the testimony was powerful and dominated 12th & Oak politics this week.
