Do U Trust Kansas City Landfill Resolution?!?

We can't blame you for being skeptical. 

After all . . . City Hall insiders accuse one of the top leaders at 12th & Oak of playing fast & loose with the facts amongst other things. 

Still . . . Pushback against the dump has been nearly universal and even members of Congress have joined the fight. 

Here's a peek at today's non-binding action  ahead of election season. . .

KMBC 9 Investigates asked Mayor Quinton Lucas if he would support a landfill in this area, specifically.

“I'm not going to get ahead of the process, what I think I would say is right now, I don't see the need for a landfill in Kansas City,” he said.

Lucas, meanwhile, said it's his job to defend all the city.

“I think right now, I have not seen the reason, the rationale, or the basis for putting a landfill in city limits including this site.”
