Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly has repeatedly called for the legalization of medical marijuana, but has stopped short of supporting full legalization.

Kansas lawmakers have attempted to pass medicinal marijuana for the past two sessions.

It has the passed the Kansas House of Representatives, but not the Kansas Senate.

“We are in such a precarious position right now, because of a change is not only in Missouri, but other states surrounding us,” said Kansas Sen. Cindy Holscher of Overland Park. “We've lost revenue, lack of patients access. We keep giving people more reasons to leave Kansas.”
