Two More Murders This Week As Kansas City 2023 Homicide Count Hits 21

Amid election season our political leaders have stopped keeping count and seem to be telling us that a 30 million dollar slush fund will solve this crisis.

Meanwhile . . . The numbers are rivaling one of the worst years for murders in KCMO's history.

Homicide 3600 Wabash Ave

This afternoon just after 1:45pm, officers were called to the 3600 block of Wabash Ave in regard to sounds of shots.  The call was updated to a shooting.  Officers arrived to the location and discovered the victim, an adult male, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  Officer began lifesaving measures until EMS arrived.  EMS transported the victim to the hospital, however, a short time later the victim was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene to recover any evidence and speaking to any potential witnesses.

Kansas City, Missouri police investigating homicide after man is found shot near 3600 Wabash Ave.

The Kansas City, Missouri Police department is on the scene of an apparent homicide Tuesday afternoon. KCPD says the incident occurred at 3600 Wabash Ave, near the intersection of 35th and Prospect Ave. Just after 1:45 p.m., officers were called in regard to the sounds of shots fired.

Homicide - 8300 block of Hickman Mills

Yesterday just after 1130 hours, officers were called to the 8300 block of Hickman Mills on a medical nature unknown call for service.  Upon arrival, officers located the victim, an adult female, unresponsive near the vacant car wash.  EMS responded and declared the victim deceased.  The cause of death was unknown at the scene.  Homicide detectives and Crime Scene personnel responded to the scene.  They processed the scene and canvassed for witnesses.

The victim was transported to the medical examiner’s office for examination.  Today, the medical examiner’s ruled the death a homicide.

The victim has been identified as Leigh Dalton w/f 11-06-1978.

Police: Woman's death at abandoned car wash in south Kansas City ruled homicide

KANSASC ITY, Mo. - A woman's death at an abandoned car wash in south Kansas City, Missouri, is now being investigated as a homicide, police said Tuesday. On Monday, police responded to the 8300 block of Hickman Hills Drive on a medical nature unknown call.
