TKC Playlist: Kansas City Pays Big Bucks For 'Equity' In New Budget

Credit to our blog community for sharing this informative passage worth considering tonight:

"The Office of the City Manager’s Submitted Budget increases $1.4 million (12.4 percent) for a total Submitted Budget of $15.2 million. The Submitted Budget creates three positions and transfers one position to support the newly created Equity Office funded at $420,000."

We don't know EXACTLY how these new jobs will benefit taxpayers but, sadly, nobody expects to get an honest answer out of 12th & Oak nowadays.

And so . . .

We merely hope to highlight this pricey effort and share a few tunes in tonight's TKC PLAYLIST on the topic of everybody getting along.

A chill song on the calm cruise to municipal bankruptcy . . .

Another song about love instead of money . . .

Recently released Techno Tribute to unity & community . . .

From one of our all-time favorite movies . . . Maybe the best song about love ever written . . .

Finally, one last hippy-dippy tune to soothe locals who mistakenly think they'll have any REAL input into yet another RIGGED local process . . .

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe & fun Saturday night.
