For instance . . . The MLK street name change earned a surprising victory by harnessing a diverse collection of voters who disagreed with local government operating unilaterally . . . And a low threshold for petitions helped earn more attention for their efforts.

And so . . . Like it or not . . .

Cracking down on voter petitions will have an impact across the state.
