Prez Biden Betrays Kansas City Immigrant Rights Activists With MAGA Policy

Progressives must've realized that the current Prez isn't REALLY enthusiastic about any cause beyond his own career. But that didn't stop them from running into the clutches of a longtime politico who is essentially reenacting MAGA-era policy . . . What's worse is that the rhetorical gamesmanship puts us even further away from finding some workable solution.

Fact check . . .

If you're afraid of China . . . Just wait until India's 1.4 BILLION people ramp up their competition for Western markets . . . They already speak English and their tech advances are every bit as impressive as anything happening in Shenzhen.

More to the point . . .

Immigration rhetoric is just another distraction for low info voters. Serious people who have even a modicum of training in economics understand that the dearth of workers is KILLING the American economy and even now we're not letting in enough people to compete with the rest of the world.

Sorry . . .

Capitalism trumps patriotism EVERY SINGLE TIME.

On the low end . . .

Silly people get confused about things like law, ethics and national sovereignty when, in fact, the world is governed primarily by profit motive über alles . . . Everything else can be explained away.

And so we share a comment from yet another denizen of the discourse who might not understand their function in a much, much bigger machine . . .

"I think that Biden doesn't know his own asylum law," says Karla Juarez, executive director of Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation, based in Kansas City, Kansas. "The U.S. asylum law says you must present yourself at the port of entry."

"Elected officials from both sides are having these conversations about being illegal entry and not being the right way," Juarez continues. "Well, essentially, presenting themselves to the port of entry and seeking asylum is the way to do it."

The move is being compared to former President Trump's restrictive measures, which Biden was critical of as a presidential candidate.
