Kansas City Super Bowl Parade Top 5 Probs

More than parade logistics . . . The upcoming swarm inside the loop provides a moment to question a great deal of what we know about life inside the loop.

More than a few concerns for your consideration . . .

The Parade Disproves Urban Planner Hype Regarding Fixed Rail Transit Solutions

Sure, we can wait for the glorious day when we have fixed rail across the metro that can transport thousands effectively. Or maybe it's just easier for people to jump in cars and then learn bus routes that are more flexible than locked in transit schemes that are now out of favor. Moreover . . . Proving my point about all of this . . . The toy train is scaled back for this massive event and won't be much help in moving people around.

Newsflash: Police Recruiting Remains Important

This effort will rely heavily on police resources. It would be nice if we had more cops.

Also . . . Parade day will be an EXCELLENT opportunity to loot anything and everything on the edge of town. Unfortunately, TKC went grocery shopping so stealing snack cakes during the festivities is out.

Suburbs Aren't Equipped To Maintain Pro-Level Teams

So many small satellite towns in the Kansas City metro don't want this kind of drain on their resources. But without the risk & cost there is no glory. This might change in the future but for now this parade is part of the reason why KC stands above any other metro location as a destination for pro-sports teams.

Odds Of Car Break-In Surge Likely

The hobos & crooks know you're coming. DO NOT leave junk in your car because window break-in will be rampant.

Is Another Bud Light Puke Fest Planned?!?

Last time around the team disappointed parents and a lot of people by way of product placement for the world's worst beer. It seems like another display is in the works.

And all of that gives way to more info about the event from better sources.

Hide Transcript Show Transcript I DIDN'T WANT TO RUB IT IN, BUT YEAH, WE GOT TO 60 DEGREES TODAY ON. FORTUNATELY, WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE AS WARM HEADING INTO THE PARADE, BUT WARMER THAN THE LAST VICTORY PARADE. YOU REMEMBER THAT WHEREBY AS BUNDLED UP IN THE TWENTIES 43, WHEN THE PARADE STARTS, IT WILL BE BLUSTERY, A WINDY ONE.
