Kansas City Streetcar Shuts Down Even More Local Streets Sunday

Overnight work is anticipated to start Sunday, February 26 at 10:00 p.m. with construction crews working near 20th Street and proceeding north on Main Street performing necessary track slab repairs. Work will be performed Sunday through Thursday nights, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. All work is weather dependent. Work will begin prior to service concluding for the evening but will not impact Streetcar operations. Streetcars will be flagged through the construction zones between the hours of 10:00 p.m. – midnight.

The work will generally move from the south to the north, beginning south of 20th Street and concluding at Independence Avenue.

KC Streetcar will have night work for the next month

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - According to a press release, starting Sunday, Feb. 26 at 10 p.m., the downtown Kansas City Streetcar will undergo some preventative work for the next five to six weeks. Roads will be closed Sunday through Thursday, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
