3 Kansas City police officers shot in the 2300 block of Blue Ridge, conditions unknown

Three Kansas City police officers have been shot in the 2300 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard, according to the Kansas City Police Department and Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas. The department does not have conditions of the officers. "We've been reminded too much lately in Kansas City how dangerous police work can be," Lucas said in a tweet.

The incident happened in the 2300 Block of Blue Ridge Boulevard at around 9:30 p.m. According to KCPD Chief of Police Stacey Graves, the three officers knocked on a door at the home and attempted to make entry.

A police standoff in east Kansas City was ongoing late Wednesday morning, according to officials from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. In a tweet late Wednesday morning, the agency said its is attempting to clear and secure a residence on the 2300 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard near Blue Summit.
