Shots fired near Kansas City Health Department, no injuries reported

SOURCE: KMBC Kansas City police investigated a report of shots fired near the parking lot of the Kansas City Health Department. The gun fire was reported just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday in the 2400 block of Troost Ave. Police say a person was reportedly shooting at a vehicle that was leaving the parking lot.


Gunfire critically wounds one man Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri

Cell phone records allegedly connect Kansas City, Kansas, cold case to suspect

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A homicide victim made one final attempt to get help before her death. The two-second call to 911 never connected, according to a key document in the case. Deleisha "Dee Dee" Kelley, 16, died in December 2014. A homeless man discovered Kelley's body inside an abandoned garage near 24th Street and Monroe Avenue.


Independence, Missouri, Police Department motorcycle officer injured after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning

An Independence, Missouri, police officer and a motorist were taken to an area hospital for treatment Monday morning after they were hit by another car during a traffic stop.According to a Facebook post from the Independence Police Department, a motorcycle officer conducted a traffic stop on a car on northbound Missouri 291 Highway at 23rd Street Monday morning just before 10 a.m.


Lenexa police search for men accused of tying up employees, robbing Game Stop

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Lenexa are asking for help to locate two men who allegedly tied up employees before robbing a Game Stop on Sunday. On Sunday Feb. 12, the two men entered the Game Stop at 9672 Quivira Road and acted like they were customers, according to a press release.
