Kansas City 2023 Homicide #14: Man Gunned On Gregory & Swope Memorial Drive

This is the first of two homicides overnight as Kansas City keeps pace with last year's horrific number.

Here is the first report . . .

Homicide Gregory and Swope Memorial

Tonight just after 11:30 pm, officers were called to Gregory and Memorial Park Drive on a medical nature unknown call for service.  Upon arrival officers located the victim, an adult male, who was suffering from apparent trauma.  EMS responded and declared the victim deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene to recover any evidence and speaking to any potential witnesses.

Man killed late Thursday at Gregory Boulevard and Swope Memorial Drive

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City police say a man was killed just after 11:30 at Gregory Boulevard and Swope Memorial Drive. Emergency crews were initially called to the area on a medical nature unknown. Upon arrival, an adult male was located suffering apparent trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.


Homicide investigation begins after man found dead in Swope Park

Kansas City, MO police are investigating a homicide near the Swope Golf Course.Officers say they found a man with injuries in the area of Gregory Blvd. and Swope Memorial Drive just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday night. Police said the victim died before he could be taken to a hospital.
