Jason Kander Offers Insight Into Mental Health Struggle Confronting Sen. Fetterman

Kansas City's favorite political leader shares valuable life experience that should help anyone coping with mental health problems.

Reality check . . . Kander is one of Kansas City's bravest and the straightforward manner he disclosed his own troubles is something that deserves universal admiration.

Meanwhile . . .

It's TKC's mission to stand up to B.S. and for those of us who don't care about anybody's party line . . . We think there is a very good chance that Sen. Fetterman MIGHT BE a human potato right now and probably not capable of doing the job for which he was elected . . . Even worse Democratic Party loyalists knew the dude wasn't up to it when they pushed his candidacy . . . Don't worry, there's no good guy in this fight given that Dr. Oz was so hapless in his campaign that he couldn't beat a dude with an obvious health problem that should have been taking care of himself rather than campaigning.

But I digress . . .

In fact, we agree with Kander here regarding his assessment of untold mental health issues amongst the elite . . .

“The chances that he’s the only one dealing with something like this right now in the Senate are just about zero.” For Kander, this knowledge is hard-earned. He himself ran for Senate in an attempt to flip a red seat blue—the way John Fetterman did. He’s also run for mayor of Kansas City and considered a long-shot bid for the presidency, but eventually, Kander dropped out of politics. And the reason why was his mental health. In his case, he had PTSD from the war in Afghanistan.

John Fetterman Isn't the First Politician to Face a Mental Health Crisis

On Feb. 16, right after Sen. John Fetterman announced that he was checking himself in to Walter Reed for inpatient treatment of his depression, Jason Kander sent a provocative tweet. "John Fetterman is far from the first senator [to] do this. But he's the first to have the stones to announce it," it said.
