Just a quick follow-up on local tech hype now that the daze of "Silicon Prairie" have quickly passed by so many frustrated millennials still working glorified customer service jobs.

"Prior to being named CIO, Evans was deputy CIO and a 30-year staffer for the city, during which time he oversaw information technology efforts throughout the organization. He also served as a technical lead for the city’s Google Fiber and Cisco Smart Cities projects."

Kansas City, Mo., CIO David Evans Will Step Down from Role

After four years of serving as the city's CIO, Evans shared that he will be stepping down at the end of the month. Michael Walker will take over in an interim capacity as a national search is conducted for his replacement.
