Tuesday, a Jackson County judge settled the wrongful death claims connected to a firetruck crash in Westport.The incident occurred in December 2021 when a pumper driven by Dominick Biscari ran a red light and struck and killed an SUV occupied by Jennifer San Nicolas, 41, and Michael Elwood, 25.The collision also killed pedestrian Tammi Knight.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A judge has approved a settlement for the wrongful death claims related to the Westport crash from December of 2021, the KSHB 41 I-Team has learned. It happened during an afternoon hearing on Tuesday. The crash involved a Kansas City, Missouri, pumper truck and an SUV near Westport Road and Broadway Boulevard.
