Standoff ends in Lee's Summit after 10 hours, officers evacuate 2 from home

A man was arrested after a 10-hour standoff that began early Monday morning in Lee's Summit. Police were called out to the 900 block of NE Bristol Dr. at 3 a.m. on Monda morning on a domestic disturbance call. Officers learned on the scene that a man fired multiple gunshots during the disturbance.


Kansas City area police agencies investigating string of ATM thefts

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - At least three Kansas City metro police agencies are investigating a string of ATM thefts at Jackson County businesses. In at least two of them, video from security cameras shows criminals breaking into stores and stealing loaded cash machines. Police believe these cases could be related.


Jordan asks U.S. Supreme Court to reverse Kansas disbarment - Kansas City Business Journal

A local lawyer who was disbarred by the state of Kansas for repeated claims that judges had lied and committed crimes is looking to the U.S. Supreme Court to get his Kansas license back. Jack Jordan filed an appeal Thursday, asking the high court to review, and reverse, the disbarment.
