Kansas City Confronts Pet Adoption Crisis

Kansas City isn't adopting enough animals and local shelters are raising the alarm. 

Because it's Sunday we're going to try to be nice . . . Even though we kinda think that a lot of this "crisis" might be solved if local pet advocates would start thinking clearly about their "no kill" shelter philosophy.

But I digress . . .

Here's a glimpse at the sitch and maybe a bit of inspiration for some TKC readers to find a new friend:

Great Plains SPCA, KCK Animal Services, Melissa's Second Chances and Humane Society of Greater Kansas City are all at max capacity with large dogs.

The organizations also say that fewer people are adopting, leading to an influx of animals staying in shelter longer.
