Kansas City-area cities address snow removal plans ahead of storm

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Winter weather crews across the Kansas City metro are gearing up for what could be a long 24 hours. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Kansas City area. It begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday and will be in effect through Wednesday at noon.


FORECAST: Wintry mix and snow start moving in Tuesday

Heavy clouds will be common throughout Tuesday morning into the daytime hours, as we slowly begin to interact with an area of low pressure from the southwest. Temperatures are expected to increase to the lower 40s Tuesday afternoon, with the chances of light-to-moderate shower activity, beginning within our southern counties during this time.

January 24, 2023 The City's crews are preparing for more winter weather as a wintery mix is expected to move in tonight, Tues., Jan. 24, and then change to snow overnight into Wed., Jan. 25. Crews are scheduled to report at 7 p.m.
