"K-State won the game on its final two possessions. First, it took the lead on an alley-oop dunk from Markquis Nowell to Keyontae Johnson with 25 seconds remaining. Then it protected the lead on the final possession of the night when it prevented the Jayhawks from even mustering up a shot. Johnson leads K-State over Kansas in OT thriller

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The first Sunflower Showdown of the season surpassed expectations as K-State was able pull out an 83-82 overtime victory. K-State led a majority of the game but the Jayhawks were able to fight their way back into the game thanks to the play of Jalen Wilson, who finished with a career-high 38 points and nine rebounds.
