Why Doesn't Kansas City Get To Vote On Hosting The World Cup???

An upcoming expenditure of MILLIONS has been mandated without a vote from the public.

There will be transit requirements, security updates and expensive upgrades required throughout this town in order to host the games. 

However . . .

KANSAS CITY VOTERS HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY EXCLUDED FROM DISCUSSIONS!!!

I'm sure some of our council candidates might have something to say on this topic . . . For or against. It would be nice if the folks paying the bills get a chance to weigh in on the conversation. 

So far that hasn't happened. 

Instead, there's just a nonstop litany of hype coverage.

"This is an unparalleled opportunity for us to get a look at all of the functional areas around the world cup. We will visit stadiums, we will visit the accreditation center, we will visit where volunteers are managed, we will visit the international broadcast center. We will have a chance to see everything from an insiders perspective that we need to prepare for 2026."
