Show-Me Death Penalty Debate: Recent Jury Decisions Object To State Sponsored Killing

It's important to note that most Americans and a vast majority of voters support the death penalty.

However . . .

Following impassioned arguments this week, the other side of this issue deserves consideration . . .

"In Missouri, which is a death penalty state, an active death penalty state, a jury in Missouri has not opposed -- not impose the death penalty in 10 years. This is coming from judges. If a jury cannot decide to execute somebody under Missouri statute, the judge gets to make the call.

"Our last three or 4 -- three or four death sentences have been imposed by judges in cases where juries said no."
