A quick fact check about ridership from an otherwise encouraging source . . . 

RECENT REPORTS REVEAL MOST KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS DON'T RELY ON PUBLIC TRANSIT!!!

Of course we realize that stat has merit given that it's coming from a pro-transit source AND we notice that most advocates and supporters of the streetcar and bike lanes ACTUALLY drive SUVS. 

Here's the fun quote . . .

"Few Kansas City residents benefit from public transit. “Less than 13 percent of Kansas City’s low-income households live near a bus route, according to one report. And only 3 percent of Kansas City residents use public transit at all, according to another."

After reintroducing a historic streetcar in 2016, Kansas City transit eventually went completely fare-free in 2020.
