"The forecast predicted that in the Kansas City area, prices will rise about 7.2%, and sales will increase 1.9%. Nationally, Realtor.com predicted that home sales will decrease 14.1% year over year to 4.53 million, the lowest level since 2012."

Potential home buyers in Kansas City looking for cheaper options in 2023 may be out of luck. A recent forecast from Realtor.com predicts that home prices probably won't decrease next year because of high mortgage rates and inflation, which is causing buyers to limit their spending.
