Here's the aftermath and a human tragedy that deserves to be taken seriously . . .

"According to a KCPD crash report, the driver was in a maroon Dodge Caravan and may have been heading south on The Paseo. The driver may have attempted a right turn to head west on Martin Luther King Boulevard when they lost control on icy roads. After losing control, the driver went down an embankment, over the cement retaining wall and landed upside down. The van later submerged into Bush Creek.Fire crews extracted the driver and they were transported to an area hospital, but later died from their injuries."
