Death investigation: 4900 block of Bellefontaine

Tonight at 8 PM officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of Bellefontaine on a shooting. Upon arrival they found an adult female inside of a residence who had been shot and was unresponsive. Officers begin CPR on the victim.  EMS arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. This is considered a death investigation at this time.

Detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene and are actively canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence. If you wish to remain anonymous you can call the TIPS hotline at 474-TIPS, with up to a $25,000 reward for an arrest in this case.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating a deadly shooting that happened late Tuesday night. The killing happened in the 4900 block of Bellefontaine Avenue just after 8 p.m., according to a KCPD spokesperson. No other information on the circumstances of the shooting were immediately available.
