Kansas City Metro Hospitalizations Spike As Docs Push COVID Booster

The University of Kansas Health System said the number of patients in its ICU and its COVID-19 patients doubled overnight. COVID-19 cases increased from 30 to 50 at the hospital, and from five in the ICU overnight to 11. And from zero, two people are now on ventilators.

At one point, 17 percent of COVID-19 deaths were people 65 and older. Right now 90 percent of coronavirus deaths are seniors.

Doctors warn seniors need to make sure they are fully boosted along with their loved ones.
