Kansas City LGBT clubs are closely monitored with tons of surveillance cameras that likely capture some lively interactions and several suburban interlopers who might or might not be married and leading a double life.

A meeting took place last month at Hamburger Mary’s, which included owners of eight or nine of those businesses as well as FBI and KCPD officials.

At Missy B’s, there are currently 32 surveillance cameras both inside and outside the business.

There's a new cooperative effort among owners of LGBTQ-friendly businesses designed to keep those establishments safe.A meeting took place last month at Hamburger Mary's, which included owners of eight or nine of those businesses as well as FBI and KCPD officials.Missy B's co-owner Jan Allen was one of the people who attended that meeting.At Missy B's, there are currently 32 surveillance cameras both inside and outside the business.Now, there are plans to add ten more cameras and improve security there."To be proactive, we've talked to the police department.
