A year later and no arrest in the Christmas Eve murder of a KCK grandmother

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A year later, a KCK family waits for answers about why someone shot and killed their loved one. On Christmas Eve last year, 85-year-old Patricia Panijan was watching TV with her husband when bullets slammed into their house. The gunfire hit the front of their home on North 73rd Place south of Leavenworth Road.


26-year-old dies in Independence crash on Christmas night

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - A 26-year-old man died Christmas night after a crash in Independence, police say. Tyler Kelley, of Independence, was driving westbound on Truman Road near Grand Avenue around 8 p.m. Sunday. Police said he lost control of his Chevy Traverse, crossed the roadway and hit a large tree and parked, unoccupied car.


Olathe police investigating fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred overnight Sunday

Olathe, police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred overnight on Christmas.On Dec. 26, 2022, at approximately 1:56 a.m., Olathe police were dispatched to the area of East Old 56 Highway and West 151st Street on a call for a serious injury accident.When officers arrived, they located a 19-year-old male driver who was unresponsive.
