'This is what we're going to miss': Kansas City mother speaks about loss of daughter

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Cameta Glin left behind two daughters and a host of loved ones when she was shot and killed while driving on the interstate. "My daughter was literally gunned down like a dog in the streets and left in her car," said Glin's mother Resha Evans.


Kansas City police investigating stabbing that has left one person seriously injured

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One person was seriously injured following a stabbing incident Friday night in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident was reported just before 8 p.m. in the area of Crabapple Circle, just south of Eastwood Trafficway. Police said the male victim was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.


Dash cam captures video connected to KCK police shooting Friday

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Kansas City, Kansas police shot and killed a man Friday morning after a bizarre chain of events. Police Chief Karl Oakman said the man made a 911 call, pointed a gun at the responding officer, took off in the officer's patrol car, then pointed a gun at officers who chased him.


Judge says Missouri Department of Corrections must pay $2M in sexual harassment case

A prison nurse said she felt trapped between two corrections officers as one described plans to kidnap, drug and rape her. Her attorney said there were "daily 'rape jokes' from other corrections officers and retaliation by the warden and other jail personnel."


Man missing, last seen floating on ice in Missouri River

Family lost contact with Aaron Duenke Tuesday. ST. LOUIS - Volunteers and state troopers were searching for a man last seen standing on ice floating in the Missouri River near Washington, Missouri. Family said they haven't heard from Aaron Duenke since Tuesday.


Lawrence police investigating man's death at homeless camp

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WDAF) - The Lawrence, Kansas Police Department is investigating a death Friday afternoon in the homeless camping area just north of the city support site. Police said a witness called for help just before noon. Medical professionals pronounced the man dead at the scene.


KCMO drill team's equipment ruined ahead of New Orleans Mardi Gras performance

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Kansas City drill team that competes and performs across the Midwest is looking for help to replace equipment after a water pipe burst. "Devastating, just looking at everything ruined - trophies and drums," said Deante Hawley, KC Falcons Marching Band drum master.
