As much as so many people would like to believe myths about poor souls pulling themselves up by their bootstraps . . . We share evidence that a great many people who advocate this philosophy are full of it.

Again, that's a really nice sentiment . . . Might even be motivational for gullible souls. 

Meanwhile . . .

The Horatio Alger myth remains persistent for people who don't understand macroeconomics or the real level of corporate corruption on a global scale.

None of this to say that this blog doesn't admire & respect people who work hard . . . But it's important not to labour under misapprehensions and/or encourage others to do the same.

Kansas City Chiefs fan who wears wolf costume to games ARRESTED

A Kansas City Chiefs superfan, known for wearing a wolf costume at games, was arrested for armed robbery last week. Xaviar Babudar was handcuffed at 10:15am on December 16 and booked for the incident in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the bond set at $200,000, according to the County's jail records.
