Kansas City 2022 Homicide Count Hits #166 After Deadly Double Shooting

Amid a litany of abuse they've been taking over the past few days . . . In the midst of a cold, dark and rainy night . . . Kansas City Police were busy investigating a deadly double shooting that pushes this cowtown's homicide count even further into record breaking territory. 

Here's the report . . . 

Homicide 700 block of Olive

This morning at 20 minutes after midnight officers were called to an apartment in the 700 block of Olive on a shooting call.

On arrival, they were directed to an apartment unit there where they located one shooting victim just outside of the apartment and one shooting victim just inside both were unresponsive.

EMS was summoned to the scene and they declared both victims deceased.

Both victims are preliminarily thought to be adult males.

Detectives and crime scene investigators will be canvassing for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence to hopefully give detectives some information about what led up to the shooting.

Two people shot and killed early Tuesday morning

Kansas City, Missouri police are looking for someone who shot and killed two people at an apartment complex near E. 6th St. & Olive St. early Tuesday morning.It happened just after midnight. Police were called to the apartment complex and found one victim outside of the apartment and one inside.
