Kansas City 2022 Homicide Count Hits 168

Homicide - LATE DEATH - 8000 block of N Denver Ave

This afternoon just after 3pm, officers were called to the 8000 block of N Denver Avenue in regard to a reported shooting.  Upon arrival, officers located the victim inside an apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.

Officers did detain a subject of interest in regard to this case.

Detectives and Crimes Scene Personnel responded to the scene.  They processed the scene to collect evidence and canvassed for witnesses in the area.

Tragically, the victim has since died as a result of their injuries and this is now a homicide.
