FREE SPEECH DENIED AMID KANSAS CITY POLICE FORUM PROTEST?!?

Follow me closely here and don't be confused about what we're CLUMSILY ATTEMPTING to note . . . 

PROTESTERS SHOUTING OVER KANSAS CITY TOP COP CANDIDATES DENIED RESIDENTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN MORE AND OPENLY OPPOSED LOCAL FREE SPEECH!!!

That should be clear enough but allow us to explain a bit more . . . 

Context . . . Free speech is a value that's fading amongst the NEXTGEN . . . 

40% of Millennials OK with limiting speech offensive to minorities

There are tons of qualifiers to consider here . . .

In our view that disputes reactionary rhetoric from "many sides" of the debate . . . Social media platforms are not the government, creeps don't have a right to troll and cleverly disguised incitement to violence doesn't deserve much respect . . .

Nevertheless . . . 

At a forum organized by local government . . . Activist protesters didn't allow the public the courtesy of a truly open forum and instead monopolized, dominated and hijacked the event thereby limit the free speech of candidates and community.

Close watchers also noticed a bit of trickery my a single moderator but that's a topic for another day and part of more typical community-based politicking.

What's more important here is continued activist bullying and threatening tactics targeting voters and the public . . .

Sadly, the political climate dictated by activists allows for little discussion or debate but instead turns every event into a screaming match.

Here's an example before we open the comments to our blog community and ALL guests . . .

During one of the candidates’ Q&A, people who said they were with a group called “Decarcerate KC” interrupted the meeting, letting the police department know what they thought of the forum, calling it a scam, accusing the new police chief had already been pre-selected by the Board of Police Commissioners.

“We want justice, we want resources, we don’t want another spineless police chief who’s going to cover up for murderous cops,” a woman with the group shouted.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Board of Police Commissioners held a public forum Saturday for the community to hear from the three finalists in the running to become Kansas City's next Chief of Police. Each candidate was asked a series of pre-selected questions that were submitted to an online portal before the meeting.
